ECA celebrated our 4th Annual Pi Day Festival. All students participated in activities related to pi, circles, math and space. And, of course, they got to eat delicious pie! Many students K-8 also competed in the Pi Bee, reciting as many digits from memory as they can! The top four students won the prize of throwing a pie at their teachers and principals. 4th Place, a 7th grader with 113 digits. 3rd Place, a 6th grader with 118 digits. 2nd Place, a 6th grader with 120 digits. And our Pi Digit Champion is an 8th grader who recited a whopping 204 digits! Three and about 1/7 pies were thrown to represent the number pi.
